Red Rock Bank to Merge with MidCountry Bank

MidCountry Bank is proud to announce that Red Rock Bank will be merged into MidCountry Bank, with an expected October 2024 completion. Both community banks are currently owned and operated by the same Minnesota-based holding company. Upon completion of the merger, the Red Rock Bank branches in Springfield and Sanborn, Minnesota will operate as MidCountry Bank, increasing the number of MidCountry Bank branch locations to sixteen.

Crow River Habitat for Humanity and MidCountry Bank Partner for Veterans

MidCountry is no stranger to Habitat for Humanity’s “Veterans Build” program. Over the last couple of years, MidCountry has joined to help build houses for veterans in St. Cloud (2018) and Minneapolis (2019). Over the last few months, MidCountry has been working with the Crow River chapter for Habitat for Humanity on the newest build located on North Baldwin Avenue in Northeast Glencoe. Plans for this build started back in 2021 with a ground blessing ceremony on June 6th, where MidCountry contributed $50,000 to help with the construction costs and pledged to match an additional $50,000 raised by donors, encouraging community engagement.

Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) was founded in 1990 with a mission to end homelessness for those who served our country. Since its inception, the efforts of MACV have effectively cut our homeless veteran population in half in the state, but the need is still great. Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity and MidCountry Bank have renewed their partnership to build safe and affordable homes for military veterans and their families. A $100,000 grant made by MidCountry Bank in July marks its second engagement with Habitat in Central Minnesota, and brings total bank contributions to this initiative to $175,000. “We are so grateful for MidCountry’s care and support of service member causes, and of course this major gift and partnership in our local community. This provides important funding to complete our second Veterans Build in the area and anchor funding for a third. Our vision is to continue to serve the need for homes for veterans in the years to come,” commented Rick Nelson, Central Minnesota Habitat’s Executive Director.

MidCountry Bank Makes Contribution to Veteran Outreach Program Launched by YMCA of the North

MidCountry Bank has been a longtime supporter of the YMCA programs in Minnesota, with contributions of time, talent and financial support reaching back over 18 years. While all the programs it supports are varied and valued in the communities served, the Veteran Outreach program, piloted in 2016, drew special interest for MidCountry Bank. This unique program supports service members, military families and veterans with free and discounted programming, resources for mental health and brain injury support in conjunction with the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance, and service project coordination with the local VA Medical Center and Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV). To further its mission, MidCountry Bank made a $100,000 grant in late June, providing critical funding at a time when the need is especially great. The growing program is currently serving over 900 veterans and family members.
