MidCountry Bank is pleased to welcome back Amber Benavides to the MidCountry Bank team. Amber was previously with MidCountry from 2015 to 2020 as the Senior Credit Manager. In her new role as Chief Credit Officer, Amber will join the Executive Leadership Team and provide strategic direction and oversight for the bank’s credit department.
With extensive experience in the financial industry, Amber is well versed in loan portfolio management, credit analysis, loan processing, collections and lending policies and procedures. A creative thinker, combined with local industry knowledge honed over time, she knows understanding the needs of the customer is paramount to achieving success while making decisions based on facts and data.
Amber is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a master’s degree in business administration (MBA). She was a Finance & Commerce “Top Women in Finance” honoree in 2018. In her free time Amber enjoys running, downhill skiing, and spending time with her husband and two children.
