MidCountry Bank continues to support the YMCA of the North and help advance their Veteran and Active Military Families Programs. With over 328,000 veterans in Minnesota, supporting them and their family members through meaningful programs and services is needed more than ever. MidCountry Bank’s $125,000 grant will fund core elements of the program including:
- Family camp getaways
- Kids to day camp
- YMCA membership veteran discounts
- Family Sports Days at the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota United
- Military deployment and redeployment support
- Service projects
- Well-being webinars
The Veteran and Active Military Families Program is currently serving over 900+ veterans and family members and is expected to grow with the introduction of new program elements and extension to additional areas of the metro. All programs are free to veterans and their families. The YMCA has been doing its work in local communities for over 160 years. Its mission is to put Christian principles into practice though programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
“MidCountry is pleased to continue our partnership and give back to our communities through the YMCA of the North. Our nation’s Active Military, Veterans, and their families, have dedicated so much in service to our country. With this grant, we extend our support and thank them for their service,” said Steve Meads, President and CEO of MidCountry Bank.
