MidCountry Bank recently contributed $5,000 toward local area foodshelves to wrap up its annual community appreciation events held at all branch locations throughout the month of September.
“We wanted to find a meaningful way to give back to our communities, and to say thank you to our customers for allowing us to serve them” said Chris Hunter, Director of Community Banking for MidCountry Bank. “This donation will be distributed to the foodshelves of the communities we serve at a time when the need is high.”
Last year Second Harvest served more than a half a million people in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, and helped provide more than 105 meals at 360 food shelves in its 59 county region.
“With the social and economic challenges our communities have been presented in recent years, our ability to support services such as Second Harvest becomes even more critical,” commented MidCountry Bank CEO and President, Steve Meads. “We are grateful that we can assist such an important mission.”
